Good evening to our parents and families.
We have had a couple of enquiries about Y6 uniform. The information is on our website and policy however I would like to explain why we aim for Year 6 children to wear V-neck jumpers and a school tie.
We thought really hard about how to make year 6 a special year for the children. Ties are there to prepare them for year 7 but also to set them apart from the rest of the school. The V-neck jumpers are designed to showcase the children’s ties.
We aim to help children to feel confident and comfortable before leaving us for high school when wearing a tie.
Both jumper options are the same price as we try to avoid additional costs for our families.
We apologise for any mistakes that may have been made by the shop/provider and understand that if items cannot be exchanged, then children can of course wear the jumper you have purchased to avoid any additional costs.
Please do opt for a a V-neck next time you purchase a jumper to support our vision of preparing children for Year 7.
